Traditional fishermen’s jumpers are simple, hardwearing and practical, just like the people that wore them. However, they are also thick, baggy and ever so-slightly itchy (the jumpers, not the fishermen). Koen pays tribute to both with a sweater that is just as tough as the jumpers of old but twice as stylish.

The Tossijn sweater is made with the best merino wool possible, which is incredibly soft on the skin. To protect the sweater from the elements, no matter if it’s a spot of rain or a heavy storm, each fibre has been treated with Teflon. This provides an invisible barrier that is completely water and oil repellent. On a design level, we’d like to draw your attention to the intricate seam-free construction over the shoulders. This ensures a perfect fit and was only made possible thanks to the skill of our expert knitters in Umbria, Italy. To conclude, you can do everything you want in this sweater on land or sea and it will still be perfect for years to come.
